Hyderabad:: A local court here today rejected the bail petition filed by Ghazal Srinivas who was arrested and remanded for sexual harassment case on Tuesday. On the bail plea moved by Srinivas, the court heard the arguments on his behalf and the police tha opposed the bail on the ground that he could influence the victims and tamper the evidence. The court accepted the police apprehension and refused to grant bail to him.

L.V.Subramanyam on thanks giving visit

Tirumala:: Special Chief Secretary (Sports and Youth Advancement) L.V.Subramanyam, who was acquitted in the Emaar scam reached Tirumala on foot on Friday evening on a thanks giving visit. Addressing the media, he said that he did not commit any sin wantonly and thanked the State government for standing by him and extending its support during the entire legal process.

Siddhapuram LI scheme launch

Kurnool:: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will switch on the Siddhapuram lift irrigation scheme at Siddhapuram of Atmakur mandal in the district on January 7. He will arrive here by helicopter at Siddhapuram at noon, give ‘Jala harathi’ and switch on the scheme at the delivery point according to an official statement.

State will achieve total literacy by December 2019

Vizianagaram:: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the State is poised to achieve 100 per cent literacy by December 2019, and it is possible if parents send their children to schools. Participating in Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru at Bobbili today, he said measures were being initiated to turn the State into a knowledge hub. All Social Welfare hostels would be upgraded into residential schools.
