Software engineer dies while going for a swim
A software engineer Election Reddy 24) died today drowned at Ramapuram beach in Chirala mandal when went for a swim. The dead body was retried with the help of locals and the police after alerted of the same rushed to the spot and registered a case. He hails from Suchitra bank colony in Hyderabad.


Red sanders logs worth over Rs.15 lakh seized and three arrested
The forest officials of Puttur range on Saturday night nabbed three red sanders smugglers and seized an SUV carrying red sander logs worth Rs.15 lakhs during patrolling in Puttur town.


CBSE examination data sheet released
Central Board of Secondary Education today released the data sheet for the students appearing for 12th standard and Secondary School Education examinations. oundation stone laid for multi storied layer flyovers
Telangana State Minister for Information and Technology K.T.Rama Rao today laid foundation stone for multi-layer flyovers under the Strategic Road Development Plan today. These flyovers will come up at K.B.R.Park in Banjara Hills, Mind Space and at Rajiv Park in Hi-tech city. Speaking on the occasion, he said that these multi-layer flyovers will come up within three years at a cost of Rs.20,000 crore. Under the plan, 50 flyovers will be built in 18 junctions at a cost of Rs. 1096.71 crore and 26 flyovers in 10 junctions at a cost of 886 crore. Union Minister for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya and Deputy Chief Minister Mohd. Ali attended the function.

Nalgonda:Farmer commits suicide by touching transformer:: A 36 year old farmer Ambothu; Madhu of Devarakonda mandal has committed suicide by touching an electric transformer at Ambothu Tanda today. His wife Kamala and parents Nandiya and Bujji also suffered serious burns as they tried unsuccessfully to save him. Sources said that he took the extreme step due to huge loss he suffered in the cotton and groundnut cultivation.

Sangareddy: Horticulture University to come up at Mulugu:: The first Horticulture University of Telangana – Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticulture University-would be coming up at Mulugu under Gajewel constituency limits. Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao would lay foundation stone on January 7. An amount of Rs.1,832 crore would be allocated to the university in the next five years.

Case registered against Minister Ayyanna Patrudu’s follower
A case has been booked against one Swaroop who stated to be the follower of Minister Ch.Ayyanna Patrudu on the charges of threatening and attacking a builder. The police registered a case u/s 448, 302 and 506 following a complaint by the victim. The police are investigating the case.


Two students drown in Godavari
Two students Jayadev and G.Sumant studying X class in Chaitanya School in Kovvuru drowned in Goshpada in West Godavari after they went for a swim today evening. The local are making efforts to retrieve them, said sources.


Tremors in Nellore and Prakasam
Mild tremors were felt in some pats of Prakasam and Nellore districts today. Panic stricken people ran out of their houses in and around Pamur in Prakasam district when they sensed that household articles were mildly shaking changing their places. No damage to property was reported. However, people in other areas did not feel any tremors. The tremors measuring 2 on the Richter scale occurred 40 km west of Kavali in neighboring Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district at 12.21pm.


All India Kabaddi League to be held from February 4
The Telugu Kabaddi Association, Rajahmundry affiliated to Andhra Pradesh Kabaddi Association is going to organize All India Kabaddi League from February 4 to 7. De-notification of Hill No.2 of Rushikonda soon
Minister for IT Palle Raghunath Reddy said that the APIIC had cleared the project and it is now in the court of the Ministry of Commerce. After a review meeting, he said that the Centre was expected to denotify shortly allowing the entrepreneurs freedom to lease out unused space in their units. The IT entrepreneurs who were earlier forced to convert their individual title deeds, into lease deeds as part of SEZ policy can now have the freedom to exit from the Madhurawada SEZ as part of relaxation of rules.

Sadhguru for city tomorrow
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev will be visiting the city on Tuesday. So far, over 6,000 pesons have registered to attend the programme scheduled here ‘ an Evening with Sadhguru’ at Port Stadium. Volunteers of the Isha Foundation are working round the clock making the arrangements.
