Palamaneru: Rs.14 crore worth of gold ornaments seized and one arrested::The police have seized gold ornaments worth over Rs.14 crore without any bills at Cattelfarm near Palamaneru inter-state Check post and arrested the car driver.


Case booked against Narasaraopet MLA Srinivasa Reddy:: Police have registered a case against Narasaraopet MLA Dr.Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy on the charges of obstructing government officials from discharging their duties. On January 11, 2016, the villagers of Ramireddypalem have staged a dharna in front of Tahsildar office alleging that they are laying roads in their farm lands. Dr. Gopireddy Srinivasa Rao has stood behind the agitating villagers.

Polio vaccine programme on Sunday:: AP Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas said that the pulse polio vaccine programme will be held tomorrow with all precautions. The government has put a target to vaccinate 52.13 lakh children. Another vaccination programme will be held on February 21, he said.

Call money accused Doodala Rajesh gets bail:: The call money main accused Doodala Rajesh got interim bail following the demise of his father to perform the last rites from Sunday morning 7am to 5pm by the court.


Junior civil judge receives injuries in a car accident:: Atmakur Junior Civil Judge Ramakrishna sustained injuries when the car in which he was travelling overturned. The accident took place at Kothapalli. He was immediately shifted to hospital.


Rs.1 crore worth of red sanders logs seized:: Kadapa police today seized Rs.1 crore worth of red sanders logs and arrested 32 Tamil laborers.

Pogiri: Villagers burnt police jeep:: In a clash between the police and the villagers on the eve of a village festival, the villagers have burnt a police jeep and detained a sub-inspector.


Kuppam-Dialysis unit opened:: PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PESIMSR), in association with DaVita Care India Pvt. Ltd., opened a world-class dialysis unit at Kuppam, here on Thursday. The DaVita Care centre will feature 15 dialysis machines for maintenance haemodialysis procedures with a provision for another seven for acute and emergency dialysis care.
