ANANTAPUR:Army jawan from the State among Siachen dead:: The Army on Friday released the names of 10 soldiers presumed killed in a deadly avalanche that swept through their post in Siachen Glacier area at a height of 19,600 feet in eastern Ladak on Wednesday morning. Sepoy Mushtaq Ahmed S of Parnapalle village in Bandi Atmakur mandal of Kurnool district four from Tamil Nadu three including a Junior Commissioner Officer from Karnataka and one each from Kerala and Maharashtra.
HYDERABAD: RTC cancels services to Uttarandhra bound buses:: The APSRTC has cancelled its 25 to 30 services heading towards Uttarandhra following restrictions and Sec.144 imposed by police in East Godavari in the back drop of Mudragada Padmanabham and his wife undergoing indefinite hunger strike.

He visited Kirlampudi to extend his support to Mudragada Padmanabham and his wife who sat themselves on an indefinite hunger strike demanding BC reservations for Kapus. After meeting them, he said ‘Tamil Nadu government is implementing 69 per cent reservations. AP also can provide reservations to Kapus. Why has the Chief Minister forgotten the assurance to gave during the elections? Why does the commission delay its report?, he asked.
SRIKAKULAM: Telagas seek for including them in BC list:: The Telaga community that has a sizeable presence in the north Andhra region has appealed the government to include it in the list of BCs along with Kapus. Women’s wing leader of the Telaga Sankshema Sangham S.Umamaheswari and a few others launched indefinite hunger strike here on Friday to extend their solidarity with the fasting Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham.
TIRUMALA: Balaji temple proposed on the banks or Krishna in Amaravati:: Minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana said that he along with Singapore Minister K.Shanmugam held preliminary discussion with the TTD Executive Officer D.Sambasiva Rao on the proposed construction of temple on the banks of Krishna in Amaravati. He said that the TTD would discuss the issue in its next meeting.

The Visakhapatnam Port Trust has upgraded its existing slipway jetty and surrounding areas into passenger jetty and also beautified the area at a cost of Rs.4 crore as part of the ongoing International Fleet Review.
IFR to be screened in theatres:: Joint Collector J.Nivas informed that they will screen the Naval Operations Demo of the International Fleet Review that is slated to be held on February 7 as a live programme in about 41 cinema theatres of Visakhapatnam. The event will be screened from 4.30pm to 7.30pm on Sunday. The passes will be issued on February 6 Saturday at the theatre booking counters from 9 am to 10am. One can avail the passes by submitting the photocopy of their Aadhaar cards.
