  • Vizianagaram:: Stray dogs maul boy to death:: A nine-year-old boy on his way to school was reportedly mauled by stray dogs in Ampavalli village of Balijipeta mandal of Vizianagaram district today. Jaswanth received severe injuries on head and neck causing heavy bleeding when 10 dogs attacked him. He died while being shifted to hospital. Local residents alleged that the menace of the dogs despite repeated representations. Earlier, many persons were injured in attacks by stray dogs.

  • Hyderabad:: High Court directive to IYR Krishna Rao on Swiss challenge:: A Division Bench of Hyderabad High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice K.Vijaya Lakshmi today asked former Chief Secretary I.Y.R.Krishna Rao to explain through an affidavit how and under what circumstances he is challenging the Swiss Challenge method adopted by the AP Government for Capital construction in the light of the fact that some decisions were taken when he was the Chief Secretary. The bench was dealing with PIL filed by Krishna Rao. He appeared as party in person and contended that everything was tailor-made to suit one party. When he started narrating the sequence of events and how the public interest would suffer. Srinivas Dammalapati, Advocate general of Andhra Pradesh raised an objection.
