  • Kurnool:: Panchaloha idols found in Chennampalli fort:: Panchaloha idols of Sri Rama, Seetha and Lakshmana surfaced during the ongoing excavation work in Chennapalli fort of Tuggali mandal in the district. The idols belong to the 16th century, officials said.
  • Vijayawada:: Chairpersons of UDAs meet Chief Minsiter:: Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu has suggested the chairpersons of Urban Development Authorities to implement the best administrative practices to ensure rapid, all round development.
  • Vijayawada:: Essel-Zee chief meet Chief Minister:: Essel-Zee Chairman Subhash Chandra met Chief Minister today. According to information, Subhsh Chandra discussed the proposed takeover of AgriGold properties. The Essel group has evinced interest in acquiring the properties of the AgriGold group which ran into deep financial crisis. The court directed the government to auction the properties and clear the dues of depositors. The High Court Division Bench grated time till February 20 for verification of documents of AgriGold companies being done by the Subhash Chandra Foundation of the Essel-Zee Group.
  • Vijayawada:: Officials visit Tokyo traffic control centre:: CRDA Commissioner Ch.Sreedhar and Principal Planner (Traffic and transportation) N.R.Aravind, Vijayawada Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang and Municipal Commissioner J.Nivas visited the Metropolitan Traffic Control Centre in Tokyo as part of their Japan tour aimed at working out a comprehensive traffic and transportation system in Amaravati.

Expressing their dissent over the Centre’s negligent attitude towards the State and failure to implement the promises made before State’s bifurcation. It is the same place where Narendra Modi promised people to extend all support from the Central government in building a new State.
  • Guntur:: Chief Minister to inaugurate tourism complex:: Chief Minsiter Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation stone for a ropeway project to Sri Koteswara Swamy temple and JNTU-K campus at Kakani during his visit to Narasaraopet on Saturday. Dr.Kodela Siva Prasada Rao is supervising the arrangements. He is credited with laying a ghat road to the temple, setting up of a mini zoo, Eco Park and now his pet project, the ropeway.
