Monday, February 1, 2016 GUNTUR: ‘No role in Ranga murder case’, says Kodela Sivaprasada Rao:: AP Assembly Speaker Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao condemning the remarks of YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he had no role in the murder of Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga. He maintained that he had no personal rivalry with Ranga and added that he had met him only once during a sports meet at the IGMC Stadium in Vijayawada.

HYDERABAD: National Conference of Chairpersons of SPCs:: Union Public Service Commission Chairman Deepak Gupta will be attending the National Conference of Chairpersons of SPCs to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao at Pragati Resorts on February 4. Valedictory function will be attended by Governor on the same day evening according to Prof.Chakrapani. The two day conference will be deliberating on issues like adopting new technologies in conduct of online examinations, use of information technology, on measures to be adopted to bring uniformity, syllabi, welfare measures, service conditions etc.,

e-verification of certificates:: The Telangana State Public Service Commission will be soon going for e-verification of certificates including caste and community towards proving a fool-proof mechanism for selection of candidates to various government jobs. We have conducted nine examinations between September-December, six of them online which very few PSCs in the country did within 11 months of formation. We have also charted a new path by conducting computer based recruitment exam for 30,000 candidates simultaneously, TPSC Chairman Prof. Ghant Chakrapani said.

VISAKHAPATNAM:Special buses for Intermediate practical examinations:: Candidates are advised to start early for the Intermediate practical examinations in view of traffic restricts imposed due to International Fleet Review beginning from February 4 to 7. Joint Collector-II D.Venkata Reddy held a review meeting on the arrangements for the examinations. He directed the officials concerned to arrange special buses for the students, uninterrupted power supply at the examination centres, drinking water and medical staff with medical kits.

VIJAYAWADA: Government awaits Kapu panel Report:: Minister for Endowments P.Manikayala Rao said that the government is committed towards providing reservations to Kapus at the earliest. He said that the government is awaiting for the commission headed by K.Manjunath, former judge of Karnataka High Court to submit its report within the stipulated nine months. He said that the party is for inclusion of Kapus in the BC list without disturbing the quota enjoyed by other castes in the category. Kapus, Balija, Telaga and Ontari castes together constitute nine to 24 per cent of population and the percentage of Kapus is yet to be worked out, he said. B.Sc nursing results announced:: Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences that conducted B.Sc (Nursing) examinations in November/December has released the results today. Results are posted on www.ntruhs.ap.nic.in.

NALGONDA: Two year girl Varikuppala Sanvi slips into bore well-rescue operations are on:: A two year old girl Varikuppala Sanvi fell into an abandoned bore well at Vallala village of Shailgouraram mandal of the district on Monday while playing. Following the information given by locals, the district administration rushed an ambulance, poclain, oxygen cylinder and equipment to the spot. The rescue operation was in full swing. Oxygen was being pumped into the well continuously.


SANGAREDDY: Live-in partner torches woman:: A man burnt a woman alive at Ambedkar Nagar in Siddipet town on Sunday night. According to police, M.Sangeetha (30) was in a live-in relationship with one Srinivas and they were living in that area for the past five years. On Sunday night, they had a heated argument and Srinivas burnt her alive by pouring kerosene. She was shifted to government hospital with burn injuries where she breathed her last.
