CPI(M) alleges raw deal for Vamsadhara project-hit

Srikakulam:: CPI(M) State president P.Madhu today alleged that the government was forcibly vacating the families that were affected by the Vamsadhara project. Addressing the media here, he said the families were not paid the compensation as per the LA Act, 2013. Leaders said that there were no amenities in rehabilitation colonies.

Four killed in auto-tipper collision

Kattipudi (EG Dist.):: Four persons, including a couple were killed when an auto collided with a tipper on the NH-16 near Kattipudi junction today. According to police sources, most of them parents visiting their school children in a residential school in Jaggampeta, collided with the tipper when it crossed the village limits and entering the National Highway. Nelapti Srinivas (35) and his wife Nagalakshmi (32) died on the spot, Macharla Lova (40) succumbed to injuries while being shifted to hospital in Tuni and Badda Chandrasekhar (40) died in Kakinada government hospital. The condition of Battuala Subh;ashini and Macharla Simachalam is said to be critical.

Mudragada Padmanabham files caveat on Kapu reservations

Hyderabad:: Telangana TDP MLA, BC Associations leader R.Krishnaiah reportedly planning to file a Public Interest Litigation in High Court on the issue of including Kapus in the list of BCs. Kapu leader and former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham along with another four has filed a caveat in the High Court. He named R.Krishnaiah along with the AP and Telangana BC associations as respondents. Senior advocate G.Gangaiah Naidu will be presenting his arguments in the court on behalf of Mudragada Padmanabham.
