Roja’s outbursts reflect her stature

Tirumala:: Chairman of the Council Committee on Papers Laid on the Table Y.B.Rajendra Prasad on Wednesday decried the remarks made by YSRCP MLA R.K.Roja against the TTD officials. Addressing media here, he said the MLAs outbursts reflected her stature. Appealing to her to be more courteous, he asked “Howe can the officials extend special privileges to all those accompanying her during her every visit?. On the alleged irregularities in the SVBC channel, he said that the TTD EO promised action against the erring officials.

Collector reviews R&R works

Kakinada:: District Collector Kartikeya Misra today reviewed the issue of providing relief and rehabilitation to the evacuees of the Polavaram irrigation project. Addressing officials during a review meeting, he highlighted the need for expediting the R&R works. He said, of the 1,825 acres to be distributed to the evacuees, an extent of 781 acres had already been handed over to the ITDA Project Officer of Rampachodavaram. Another 762 acres would be handed over to the official by December 15, he said.

Chief Secretary warns housing officials

Vijayawada:: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar said failure to achieve the targets in the construction of houses under NTR urban and rural housing would be viewed seriously. He said that there was no dearth of funds as the State and the Centre have made enough money available under the NTR Housing scheme and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and it was up to the Housing Department to stick to the deadlines while ensuring that quality standards are not breached.
