Vijayawada:: Mitsubishi Corporation India Pvt.Ltd., Deputy Planning and Coordination Officers Shuhei Ando has clarified that the MC and AES (USA) will jointly install the latest energy storage system in Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited for stable power distribution.

Two dalam members, courier surrender

Kakinada:: Two dalam members and a Maoist courier, including a wife and husband were surrendered before the police today. Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni at a press conference said that Madivi Jogaiah alias Roshan and his wife Kaluma Pojja alias Radha both members of Chandranna dalam and Moist courier Sunnam Nagesh were fed up with the Maoist party and decided to lead a normal life.

Nannapaneni Rajakumari calls on Sailaja at hospital

Tirupati:: AP Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari today called on Sailaja, who was allegedly beaten up by her husband, a teacher on the very first day of her marital life at SVIMS super speciality hospital here. Rajakumari gave a patient hearing to Sailaja who narrated the sequence of events that led to her hospitalization. Speaking to media later, Nannapaneni said that legal action would be initiated against the victim’s husband and father-in-law.

Quota for Kapus hailed

Kakinada:: Ungarala Venkataramana, a member of the BJP State committee today thanked the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for extending BC reservation to Kapus. He said that the Supreme Court made it clear that the State government has every right to take a decision with regard to extension of reservations. Referring to the case of SV Joshi versus State of Karnataka, he said that the same judgement was quoted by the AP High Court in a case on GO 30. ‘A delegation from the BJP will soon meet the Chief Minister to thank him, he said.

Devineni Uma to meet Gadkari

Vijayawada:: Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has taken an appointment to meet Union Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Tuesday to discuss over the objections raised over the Polavaram tender notification. He along with the representatives of Transstroy will also attend the meeting. AP Congress leaders too have taken an appointment with Gadkari on Tuesday.
