PD Act invoked on three red sanders smugglers

Kurnool:: PD Act was invoked on three inter-State red sanders smugglers – J.Sivasankar, Guddeti Ramanatha Reddy and Koyya Ramachandra, Kadapa SP A.Babujee said today. District Collector T.Babu Rao Naidu issued the orders invoking the PD Act on the three accused on December 29 following the SP’s proposal to that effect.

M.Malakondaiah takes charge as DGP

Vijayawada:: M.Malakondaiah took charge as the new DGP of Andhra Pradesh today taking the baton from incumbent N.Sambasiva Rao. His appointment as the DGP came close on the heels of the State government issuing an ordinance empowering itself to pick the DGP, albeit in conformity with the All India Services Act, 1953. Speaking after taking charge, he said that he would strive to enhance the reputation of the AP Police and sought the cooperation of all in the endeavour.

Finance department office buildings in all districts

Kakinada:: The State government is planning to construct office buildings to the Finance Department in all districts besides ensuring permanent buildings to house the sub-treasury offices according to Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. He said that the government was keen on Infrastructure development and taking steps to provide permanent buildings to all government offices.
