Three Chinese red sanders smugglers brought to Kadapa
The Kadapa police today brought the three Chinese red sanders smugglers and their New Delhi based partner who were arrested in New Delhi recently. OSD (Red Sanders Operations) Rahu Dev Sharma presented them before media said that they were identified as Li Ming Hu, Chen Feng, Zhang Qing Li and their partner was Anuj Dahiya. The four were main associates of international smugglers Ling Ping Cheng and Huang Ning of China. He said that they have seized 1.4 tonne red sanders logs from them in a raid on December 25. An SUV, five laptops, 12 mobile phone and Rs.78,000 were also seized. The estimated cost of the seized logs is over Rs.2 crore, he added. The accused were remanded to Kadapa jail.


High Court grants two months’ time for TV Set up box
Hyderabad High Court today dealing with a petition filed by Telangana MSOs Association has extended time for setting up of TV Set Up box. It may be recalled that the deadline is going to expire from December 31 of TV Digitilization programme.

MLC elections-TRS bags 4 while Congress -2
In the MLC elections held and counting held today, the TRS bagged 4 seats while Congress bagged 2 seats. Out of 12 seats, TRS bagged 10 leaving 2 to Congress.

KL University issues notification for engineering courses
KL University has issued notification for admissions into Engineering for the year 2016. The applications are available at all its camp offices and can also be downloaded from the website. MSP for paddy ensured State Minister for Labour K.Atchannaidu said that the government made all arrangements for procurement of paddy and would ensure MSP. He said that the transport charges were included in the MSP. Government Whip Kuna Ravi Kumar urged the District Collector P.Lakshmi Narasimham to appoint food advisory committees in all mandals.


Sanskrit talent test from today
Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is partnering Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi conducts the 54th Akhila Bharatiya Shastriya Spardha, a national level students’ talent festival. The event will be held at the University campus from December 30 to January 2, 2016. AP Science Congress -2016 from January 21 to 22

Mee Seva mobile app launched
Minister for Information and Technology Palle Raghunath Reddy today launched ‘Mee Seva’ mobile app. Under this app, the users can get 18 types of services it is extending. Speaking on the occasion, he said that even EC can be obtained through the app. The rest of 17 sevas will be made available shortly.

Government introduces bio-metric system in government hospitals
AP Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas said that the government is introducing bio-metric system in all government hospitals. Speaking to media, he said doctors should be available in the hospitals from 9am to 4pm. He said that orders have been placed for 270 vehicles for ‘ Talli Bidda Express’ programme and 150 vehicles are ready for use, he said. X-Ray facility is being introduced in all area hospitals and added that under tele-diagnosis system, the X-ray films will be sent to the central hospital through video and the doctors there will diagnose the case and return back to the hospital with necessary information. The government would recruit 500 doctors. Kamineni Srinivas said that the issue of health cards to journalists and government employees has been entrusted to Arogya Sri CEO.


Jagriti Yatra reaches city
Around 600 young and aspiring entrepreneurs of Jagriti Yatra today reached the city which is one of the 11 locations they are visiting as part of an all-India tour. They are touring the country to meet and learn from change-makers. In Visakhapatnam,, they visited Akshaya Patra kitchen which is supplying mid-day meal to 60,000 School children in the city.
