Vijayawada:: Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu conveyed his birthday wishes to YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy through Twitter on Thursday. In his message, ‘wishing you a happy birthday, may God bless you with a happy and healthy life’. Jagan thanked Chandrababu for the gesture. In reply, Jagan tweeted, “ Pleasant surprise andi. Thank You”.
Vizianagaram:: The CPI(M) has threatened to launch an agitation with renewed vigour if the government does not drop its proposal to acquire 48,000 acres of land under ‘land bank’ in all the nine Assembly constituencies in the district for developing industrial clusters. Party’s State secretariat member Ch.Narasinga Rao addressing a press conference said that the poor will have all the rights once the government allots assigned lands to them. This was made it clear by a 7 judge Bench of AP High Court in its verdict in 2004’, he said.
Vijayawada:: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar has asked the officials to address the socio and individual petitions/grievances which have no financial implications at the earliest. Addressing a teleconference with District Collectors and Head of the Departments on Thursday, he reminded the officials about pending petitions. The R&B Department had to clear 98,000 petitions and the Panchayat Raj Department was yet to address 75,000 complaints. The police department was yet to clear 63,000 complaints. The officials were expected to solve non-finance complaints before Janmabhoomi.
