A farmer B.Venakata Ramana of Uraganapalle village in Chowdepalli mandal was electrocuted after he came in contact with a live wire that was hanging low at his field today. Though the deceased had sought the official of Electricity Department to address the issue, there was no response. After his repeated appeals, the officials had reportedly informed him that the power supply to the cable had been disconnected. The deceased tried to remove the cables and got electrocuted resulting in instantons death.
Jagan appeals the Speaker to re-consider the decision of suspension of MLA Roja
YSRCP president and Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today appealed the Speaker Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao to reconsider the decision of suspending party MLA Roja from the Assembly for a period of one year. Party MLAs will enmasse boycott the session if not reconsidered and if necessary will knock the doors of Court, he said.
YSRCP boycotts session
Minister for Assembly Affairs Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that those who commit mistake has to be punished and ruled out lifting of suspension. YSRCP MLAs have boycotted the session. YSRCP is thinking of moving a ‘no-confidence’ motion against the speaker tomorrow.
Stage set to handover GGH to Apollo
The stage has set to handover Chittoor Government General Hospital to Apollo Hospitals. The Apollo takes the hospital on leaze and develop the same in the name of ‘The Apollo Health and Knowledge City’. In the first phase, it got permission for 150 MBBS seats. However, no MoU was taken place. Sources said that they will be holding talks with the top officials of health department and will arrive a decision.
EU serves strike notices on management
APSRTC Employees Union will be serving strike notices on the management in all zones in the State said Employees Union leaders Chandra Sekhara Reddy, Padmakar, Damodararao. The notices are being issued in Nellore, Kadapa, Vijayawada, Viziangaram Zone Executive Directors demanding cancellation of tenders for hiring private buses and anti-labour activities of the management and decreasing of work load on the workers.

TSPSC conduct interviews for AE posts on December 30, 2015
The Telangana State Public Service Commission will be conducting interviews for those selected in the written test on December 30, 2015. The successful candidates in the ratio of 1:2 have been called for the interview. The Government is making efforts to the fill up the Assistant Executive Engineer Mechanical posts and also other posts in the month of January 2016 except Agriculture officers. Interviews for AEE mechanical will be held from 11am on December 30 according to Commission Secretary Parvati Subramanian.
Police Recruitment-Upper age relaxed
The Telangana State Government has issued orders raising the upper age limit by 3 years for direct recruitment of police personnel through the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board. It may be recalled that the government has raised the upper age limit by 10 years in July this year for direct recruitment to provide employment opportunities to educated youth consequent on the formation of Telangana State. The decision came following a report submitted by the DGP favoring raising the upper age limit for direct recruitment to the uniformed posts ie. Special Protection Force, Fire Services and Prisons.
Protest against move to include Kapus in BC list
Activists from different BC organizations under the aegis of Joint Action Committee of BCs staged a dharna in front of Collectorate protesting against the government’s move to include Kapus in the BC list. They blocked the roads leading to Collectorate and staged a dharna and raised slogans against the State Government.
Flamingo Festival from January 9, 2016
Flamingo Festival will be celebrated in the Pulicat Lake town of Sullurpeta from January 9, 2016. It will be celebrated as a State festival. is during this season, flamingos, pelicans and hundreds of different varieties of migratory birds arrive at the Pulicat brackish water lake surroundings in search of food. The birds nest on baringtonia trees in the surroundings including the Nelpattu sanctuary. In view of the immense potential for tourist footfalls here, the festival has been celebrated for several years by involving members of the local lake communities, especially those from islands like Irukam.
Roller skating tourney from Wednesday
The 27th Andhra Pradesh State Inter-District Roller Skating Championship-2015 cum-selection trails for 53rd National are scheduled to begin here from Wednesday. AP Roller Skating Association D.Bhagirath Kumar said tht the championship would be held in three categories – Speed Skating, Artistic Skating and Roller and Inline Hockey events from December 23 to 30. The second Mini State Championships would also be conducted from December 28 to 30. The Speed Skating events for sub junior boys and girls and senior men and women would be held at the MGI Skating Rink, New VUDA Park and the Road events on the BRTS Road near Mudasaralova. Artistic Skating events would be conducted from December 28 to 30 at Shivaji Park Skating Rink.
Mini national archery championship from February 1, 2016
The 8th Mini National Archery Championship will be held here from January 31 to February 4. General Secretary of the AP Archery Association and organizing Secretary Cherukuri Satyanarayana announcing this said that they would also have an exhibition of tournament for children below 10 years. The tournament is being organized by the Archery Association of India, AP Archery Association, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association, Visakhapatnam District Sports Authority, Visakhapatnam District Archery association and Cherukuri Volga Archery Academy. The tournament would see 350 archers from across the country under the observation of 100 officials and on international levels, he said. He said it would be inaugurated on February 1.
HPCL cautions against job racketeers
HPCL management has denied connection of any nature with Bhogaraju Ramakrishna, the kingpin behind the racket who allegedly collected money from the job seekers promising them employment in the public sector company. The key accused who was nabbed by the police a couple of days ago following complaints by a group of unemployed youths allegedly promised jobs by collecting over Rs.1 crore claiming that he had good contacts with HPCL higher-ups.

Contract Residential Teachers’ wage revision under consideration
Minister for Tribal Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu assured MLC M.V.S.Sarma in the Legislative Council that increasing the salaries of contract residential teachers in ITDAs is under consideration. Sarma said that the residential teachers had been working with Rs.5,000 a month since 2003 and demanded that they be given salaries equal to regular teachers. He also demanded that their services be regularized.
Harbola takes charge as the Coast Guard Commander (AP)
Deputy Inspector General A.K.Harbola took over charge as the Coast Guard Commander (Andhra Pradesh) from Deputy Inspector General J.S.Sabharwal at the Coast Guard jetty. He was a post graduate in Physics has qualified ‘Naval Communicator’ and is an alumnus of International Maritime School of US Coast Guard, Virginia, College of Defence Management, Secunderabad and National Defence College, New Delhi. He has been awarded with Tatrakshak Medal for Gallantry by the President of India.
