Roja celebrates wedding anniversary

Kurnool:: YSRCP Nagari MLA R.K.Roja and her husband R.K.Selvamani celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy in Nandyal on Monday. Jagan greeted the couple after the two cut a cake and offered it to each others.

TDP MLC’s nephew Mushtaq joins YSRCP

TDP MLC N.Md.Farooq’s nephew Mushtaq joined the YSRCP in the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy in Nandyal on Monday. Jagan visited the residence of Mushtaq, owner of Haroon Motors, in Nandyal old city and welcomed him into the party fold by putting a scarf around his neck. Meanwhile, Ramakrishna degree college chairman Ramakrishna Reddy announced his support to YSRCP.

Venu Madhav complaints to police on threatening calls

Kurnool: Film actor Venu Madhav who campaigned for TDP in Nandyal lodged a complaint with the Kurnool II Town Police on Sunday night that he was receiving threatening calls from YSRCP sympathizers. The police registered a case and are investigating.

Women takes out rally in support of Mudragada Padmanabham

Kirlampudi:: A rally was taken out by women from Simhadripuram in Kirlampudi mandal, Kakinada rural, Jagammpeta, Pithapuram and Antiparty constituencies on Monday in support of the agitation launched by former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham. It was followed by a motorbike rally. The women participated in a sit-in programme at the main gate of Mudragada residence. They warned the police that the present government was not a permanent one and they should not act agents of any particular party.

Cricket betting case-two YSRCP MLAs to be questioned

Nellore:: Two YSRCP MLAs received notice from the police asking them to appear before them in connection with the ongoing investigation into the cricket betting case. Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridahar Reddy and Nellore Town MLA P.Anil Kumar were served notice under Section 160 of the Cr.P.C. over their likely acquaintance with the accused in the case. Sridhar Reddy blamed the ruling TDP saying that it was a clear case of misuse of the police machinery to harass the opposition leaders taking advantage of the case.

ANU School of Distance Education examination results announced

ANU (Guntur):: Acharya Nagarjuna University School of Distance Education that conducted M.A. (Economics), M.Sc (Information Technology) courses examination in the last May the results of which were announced today. The results can had on http://www.anucde.info according to Deputy Registrar Bhavajnam Anjaneya Reddy. Those candidates who intend for revaluation has to submit by September 2 by paying Rs.960 per paper.

Special train between Secunderabad-Howrah

Hyderabad:: The SCR will run a special train between Secunderabad-Howrah (Train No.02513/02514) on August 22. The train will leave at 5.555pm at Secunderabad and reach at 10.30pm on the next day at Howrah. In the return direction, the special train will leave at 1.05am on August 25 and reach Secunderabad on the next day at 4am.

Ex-gratia hiked to those who died while in service

Amaravati:: The State government has hiked the ex-gratia to the family members of the staff who died while in service. The Principal Secretary, General Administration has issued orders to this effect. According to it, the amount was hiked to Rs.5 lakh from the existing Rs.40,000 to Class IV employees and Rs.8 lakhs from the existing Rs.60,000 for NGO and it would be Rs.10 lakhs from Rs.80,000 to Gazetted Officers.

Four IPS officers transferred

Amaravati:: The State government today transferred four IPS officers.
KKN Anbhurajan currently working as ASP in Pulivendula has been transferred and posted as OSD, Chittoor.<br. B.Krishna Rao working as Greyhounds Assault Commander has been posted as ASP, Pulivendula.
ASP Siddardh Kausil of Parvathipuram has been posted as OSD of Narsipatnam.
Greyhounds Assault Commander Amit Bardhar has been posted as ASP of Parvathipuram
