  • Amaravati:: AP Cabinet meeting on April 6:: The State Cabinet would meet on April 6. This is the first meeting of the AP State Cabinet expansion.
  • Rajamahendravaram:: Ganja seized:: The Rajamahendravaram Urban Police seized 2,150 kgs of ganja worth Rs.1.10 crore which was being transported in an oil tanker via Rajamahendravaram from Visakhapatnam to Maharashtra on Monday. Acting on a tip-off, Bommuru Inspector P.Kanaka Raju and AGS party Sub-Inspector R.Sivaji intercepted an oil tanker coming from Visakhapatnam and Diwancheruvu of Rajanagaram mandal.
  • Vijayawada:: Rs.2.61 crore more found in tainted engineer’s bank lockers:: ACB officials who are conducting searches on the assets of R&B Engineer-in-Chief M.Gangadharam for the third day on Monday noticed cash and jewellery valued about Rs.2.61 crore. The officials opened the bank lockers in Andhra Bank, Sanathnagar and Sunder Nagar branches, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank and Punjab National Banks all in Hyderabad. They also found investments in a private company all worth Rs.2.61 crore including Rs.2 lakh cash at the accused house. Earlier, they have confiscated property worth more than Rs.50 crore and registered a case for possession disproportionate assets.
