Young woman commits suicide in front of the house of lover A girl Kamalamma who was in love with Siva for the past few months has committed suicide by dowsing kerosene in front of his house today. The incident took place at Kamalapadu in Yadi mandal of the district. She is having live-in relationship with Siva and he was married to a girl recently. The both are frequently quarreling and are living separately. She committed suicide today morning and Siva surrendered before the police.

In the continuous attacks on the officials by the TDP leaders, a fresh one reported today with the contractor Gogineni Srinivasa Rao attacked Assistant Engineer working at Repalle Municipal Officer today evening. The TDP leaders are making efforts to compromise the situation.

Assembly adjourns for two time
The Andhra Pradesh State Assembly was adjourned for two times for two for a period of ten minutes following the Opposition Party demands a debate and discussion on Call Money racket which the Treasury benches saying that it would be taken up after a discussion on Dr.Ambedkar, question hour and an announcement by the Chief Minister. The Opposition MLAs went to the Well of the Speaker demanding immediate taking up of the issue.

Novartis Business Services with 3,500 employees provide services in IT, financial accounting and reporting, Human Resources, Pharma development etc., Novartis had two offices one at Mindspace in Hi-tech city that moved to new office.

High Court asks State Government to file counter on quota for Kapus
Justice P.V.Sanjay Kumar of Hyderabad High Court has asked the Andhra Pradesh State Government to respond to the complaint form Kapu community that no inquiry has been initiated yet to facilitate the re-entry of Kapus into the list of BC castes. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by K.V.K.Rao, Chairman of the Kapu Reservation Porata Samithi and Ch.Venkata Rayaudu of West Godavari who said that Kapu, Balija, Telaga and Ontari communities were grouped as one class under broad category of ‘Telaga and were included in backward communities list in 1915 and were continued as BC from 1915 to 1956. The attempt was made in 1994 was struck down as there was no recommendation from the BC Commission. The petitioners said till now there was no reference to the BC Commission and the judge asked the State to file a counter.

YSRCP MLAs squat on road
YSRCP MLAS led by party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy squatted on the road against the backdrop of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi protesting against their being suspended from the House on Friday. Speaker Dr.Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has suspended 58 YSRCP MLAs for the duration of the discussion. The Opposition took another half an hour more to move out of the House.

President arrives on southern sojourn
President Pranab Mukherjee arrived here today evening as part of his 14 day southern sojourn. He arrived in a special aircraft of the Indian Air Force from Delhi and was driven to the Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollaram here immediately after landing at Hakimpeta Air Force Station. Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan, Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao, Assembly Speaker S.Madhusudana Chary, Council Chairman K.Swamy Goud, Deputy Chief Ministers K.Srihari and Md.Mahamood Ali, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma and several Ministers and officials were among those welcomed him.

Maoist dump unearthed at Nallamala forest
The Prakasam district police have unearthed a big Maoist dump of weapons and arms in the jungle areas near Burugundala village in Yerragondapalem mandal limits on Thursday night. The seized dump consisted of rocket launchers, AK 47 and such advanced weapons which have been shifted to the government headquarters.

Bouncer Bhavani Shankar arrested
The second accused in the Call Money racket Bhavani Shankar was arrested by Machavaram police. He was produced before the 1st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court and was ordered for two weeks remand. It may be recalled that the prime accused Yellamanchili Srirama Murty alias Ramu, seventh accused Doodala Rajesh were arrested and five of the accused in the racket are at large. The police are yet to arrest electrical DE.M.Satyananadam, Chennupati Srinivasa Rao, Venigalla Satish, Pendyala Satish. Police sources said that so far 296 complaints have been received in the issue.

Red Sanders log worth over Rs.3 crore seized
Red Sanders Anti Smuggling Task Force officials have seized 103 red sanders logs worth Rs.3 crore during a routine combing operation. A patrolling team came face to face with more than 150 smuggling operatives. Upon encountering the combing party, the operatives rained stones, abandoned logs and escaped deep into the forest.
