Srikakulam:: In-depth study is needed:: A.Aja Sarma and GVK Murthy of Forum for Development of North Andhra on Sunday asked the government to find the exact reasons for the spread of kidney diseases in the Uddanam region. Releasing a press note, they said it was the responsibility of the government to appoint scientists for a serious study of the problem.
Visakhapatnam:: Mouleswara Rao appointed as Joint Secretary of ECoRSC: T.V.Mouleswara Rao was appointed Joint Secretary of the East Coast Railway Shramik Congress, Waltair Division in place of Tammineni Narasinga Rao who retired from service recently.
Vijayawada:: ‘Jio Amaravati Marathon-2017’:: Over 10,000 denizen of the city turned up for the second edition of ‘Jio Amaravati Marathon-2017’at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium here on Sunday. The State government in association with DEEP Trust organized the event. Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang flagged off the 10k run which passed through thoroughfares of the city. The half marathon also includes 10K, 3K and 5K run events. DGP N Sambasiva Rao, BCCI selection committee chairman M S K Prasad and others also took part in the event
Hyderabad:: Rajya Sabha Member KVP Ramachandra Rao challenges Chandrababu Naidu to debate:: Rajya Sabha Member KVP Ramachandra Rao has asked the Chief Minsiter N.Chandrababu Naidu to come for an open debate on the later’s claims on Polavaram project taking the whole credit for the project considered a lifeline to the State. In an open letter addressed to Chandrababu, he said if the Chief Minsiter felt that participating in an open debate with an MP did not behove his stature, he could depute any of his Cabinet colleagues`. It was for the government to fix the date and time for the debate at a venue of Chief Minister’s choice be it in Vijayawada or at the Polavaram project.
