Amaravati:: Government announces soups to Britannia Company:: The State government has issued a GO giving soups to Britannia company for establishing its unit at Kuppam in Chittoor district. The company that comes up here at an investment of Rs.145 crore will provide employment to 900 persons. The government will give VAT for seven years, CST reimbursement, power, water and transport facilities. The government will give subsidy of Rs.1.5 crore per year for Skill Development.
Amaravati:: Registration and stamp duty exempted:: The State Government has issued orders exempting stamp duty and registration fee for the lands acquired for Bhogapuram International Airport and new airport at Nellore. The exemption will be applicable to the lands being acquired for Dagadarthi in Nellore and Orvakallu in Kurnool airports.
Machilipatnam:: Government gives green signal for filling up of aided posts:: The State government has given its green signal for appointment of aided teacher posts. The Principal Secretary Adityanath Das has on January 4 issued a memo No.18,836. According to this, the ban recruiting on teachers posts in aided schools have been lifted in tune with the Apex Court orders. It may be recalled that the Supreme Court has directed to lift the ban vide judgements dated January 6, 2015 and September 14, 2015 directing to lift the ban from October 20, 2014.
Visakhapatnam:: Acupressure camp::Agarwal Mahasabha, Visakhapatnam is organizing a ten day acupressure and Sujok therapy camp at Pandurangapuram from January 11 to 20. The medical camp will provide relief from arthritis, asthma, back ache, spondylitis, join pain, diabetes, hypertension, keen pain, depression, migraine and certain cases of paralysis. There will be registration fee of Rs.500 for the ten day treatment. Only 100 registrations will be accepted. Visakhapatnam:: Land grabbing case against MLA Peela Govinda Satyanarayana:: A land grab case was registered against Anakapalle MLA Peela Govinda Satyanarayana at at Pendurthy Police station on Tuesday. A resident of Pendurti reportedly lodged a complaint with the Police Commissioner T.Yoganand that some extent of his land had been trespassed by the MLA. Sources said that the complainant had a house in 300 yards at Pendurti junction and beside it, there was a two care open site belonging to the MLA. He trespassed and broke the gate and compound wall of his house claiming that the area came under his site. When approached, the MLA threatened him stated the complainant who is currently in Oman sent an e-mail to the Commissioner of Police. At present, his mother is residing in the house. A case was registered under IPC 447 and 506.
Visakhapatnam:: Tehsildar and two others held by ACB:: Tehsildar of Atchutapuram mandal E.Ramachandra Rao, Land Surveyor T.V.Ramana and private licensed surveyor L.Sattibabu were arrested by ACB officials for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.7.5 lakh here on Tuesday. According ACB DSP K.Ramakrishna Prasad, the Tehsildar demanded Rs.8.5 lakh to regularize a piece of land from the complainant while Rs.1 lakh was paid in cash on December 30, the remaining was paid on Tuesday when they were caught red-handed.
Hyderabad:: Vinod Kumar appointed as SCR GM:: Vinod Kumar Yadav was appointed as the new General Manager of South Central Railway. He assumed charged at Rail Nilayam. He was posted in place of Ravindra Gupta who was appointed as the Railway Board Member. Vinod Kumar Yadav is the 1980 batch IRSEE and worked in various capacities. He did his MBA from La Trobe university in Australia and Engineering degree from Allahabad University. He joined the Indian Railways in 1982 as Assistant Electrical Engineer and worked as Deputy Chief Electrical Engineer, Chief Electrical Engineer, ADRM, DRM at Delhi and Lucknow.
