Amaravati:: Last date for application for ration cards is December 28:: The Minister for Civil Supplies Paritala Sunitha on Monday in a statement said that the last date for submitting applications for fresh ration cards is December 28. The applications will be accepted at the office of the Tehsildars and people can also submit through online.
Amaravati:: State Cabinet meet on December 31:: The State Cabinet meeting will be held at 10.30am on December 31. Major decisions like allotment of lands and other issues will take place in the meeting according to sources.

Visakhapatnam:: CREDAI property show put off to March:: CREDAI has postponed the annual property show scheduled this month to March 3,4 and 5 following backing out of banks which sponsored it as fallout of demonetization and their preoccupation with meeting customers’ demand for the disposal of cash. The revised dates of the property show were announced by CREDAI – Vizag office bearers on Monday.
Visakhapatnam:: GST-15 days slot given for Andhra Pradesh dealers to register:: All the 2.1 lakh dealers in the State have to get their provisional registration under the Goods and Services Tax Act done by January 15. The Central government has allotted a 15 day time slot period beginning January 1 to Andhra Pradesh and all the dealers have to visit the site www.gst.in to upload the required documents to get the provisional registration said the Deputy Commissioner Commercial Tax Department K.Nagendra on Monday.
Visakhapatnam:: New Year revelry- Police to clamp curbs:: The city police have imposed several restrictions to ensure smooth flow of traffic and safety of public during the New Year cleebrations from December 31 night to January 1. The police have advised the organizers to restrict their parties on December 31 from 10pm to 1am and the cops also asked the revelers to refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol. Rave parties and obscene dance parties will not be allowed. Hotels and party organizers should seek prior permission from the police and organizers should install CCTV cameras at strategic places and also engage sufficient private security personnel for security and traffic management at the venue said DCP (Crime) T.Ravi Kumar Murty. He said about 50 teams will be deployed to keep an eye on drivers, bike racers and other traffic violators with advanced breath analyzers and video cameras at select place in the city. The Beach road to an extent of 2.5 km stretch between Coastal Battery and Park Hotel will be closed for traffic from 10pm of December 31 to 4am on January 1, 2017, he said.
