Amaravati:: 493 communication constable posts filled up:: Police Recruitment Board Chairman Atul Singh on Monday issued orders for filling of 493 constables in communications. The selected are 332 male and 161 are female candidates. The selected candidates include 23 M.Tech, 271 B.Tech engineering studied ones. The selected candidates will be given graining from March 20, 2017.
Amaravati:: State Government budget on March 8:: The budget session of the AP Legislative Assembly will be held from March 3 to 28. Soruces said that Governor ESL Narsimhan will address the members of both the Legislative Assembly and Council on March 3 and the House will be adjourned to March 6. It is learnt that Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu will present the budget on March 8.

Srikakulam:: Vamsadhara phase 2 displaced families aid:: The district administration is keen to clean down the displaced families of Vamsadhara phase 2 project by paying compensation by the end of the month. Sources said that the CMO’s office has been constantly monitoring the issue after violence broke out on January 3, 2017 with the delay in paying compensation in spite of sanction of Rs.421 crore. It may be recalled that ineligible families were given compensation at Krishnapuram of Kotturu mandal and an inquiry has been ordered over the alleged involvement of local revenue officials. 19 committees have been constituted to cross-check the names and finalize compensation only to the genuine persons in villages of Hiramandalam, Kotturu and L.N.Peta. As many as 6,936 project displaced families will get the compensation after completion of ground level verification said Srikakulam Joint Collector K.V.N.Chakradhar Babu.
Vijayawada: The police Rakshak vehicles will be turned into e-Rakshaks, in a week, by installing Global Positioning System (GPS). Even as the city police failed to track the movements of Rakshak vehicles, the department got feedback that the Rakshak vehicles are not working effectively. Similarly, oral complaints have been received from the public that the Rakshak vehicles are not arriving on time during the occurrence of street fights, especially at night food courts.
