  • Amaravati:: Volvo services between Gannavaram-Vijayawada:: RTC will be plying Volvo bus services between Gannavaram airport to Vijayawada for the benefit of air passengers according to a statement issued on Sunday. The services will be operated through Bandar road, Benz circle, Ramavarappadu to Gannavaram airport.
  • Amaravati:: 104 employees serve ultimatum to government:: The 104 services (Chandranna Sanchara Chikitsa) staff served an ultimatum that they would stop the services as they were unable to face the harassment by the management. In East Godavari, the services were completely stop for the last three days and went on strike following the silence maintained by government in solving their issues. Piramal Swasthya has issued recruitment notification on Saturday night that new staff will be taken into if the employees goes on strike. In an emergency meeting held on Sunday from the representatives of all the 13 districts has demanded the government to interfere failing which the services will be stopped. There were a total of 275 ambulances and the government is paying Rs.2.43 lakh per ambulance.
  • Kurnool: Six red sanders logs seized:: The police on Sunday arrested red sanders smuggler Chavva Ramana Reddy and seized six logs from him in the Lakkavaripalli forest area of Gopavaram mandal of Kadapa districts.
  • Kurnool: TDP nominee to file nomination papers on Monday:: Three Ministers – K.Atchannaidu, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Kamineni Srinivas- MPs, MLAs and TDP leaders will attend the nomination filing by TDP candidate for the Graduates constituency K.J.Reddy in Anantapur on Monday.
  • Tirumala: Sudha Murty takes office:: Chairperson of Infosys Foundation Sudha Narayana Murty on Sunday was sworn-in member-trustee of the TTD Board. Later, speaking to the media, she vowed to give her best. She thanked the government for considering her for the post.
  • Hyderabad:: Kacheguda Railway Station is the first to use cashless transactions:: Kacheguda Railway Station is the first in the country to be converted into digital station. All transactions including purchase of tickets across the counters, shopping, parking etc., will be only through cards. The South Central Railway authorities made all the required arrangements for the purpose. This will be inaugurated by the SCR General Manager Vinod Kumar on Monday. All shops were equipped with swiping machines.
  • Hyderabad: Budget session in March first week:: The Budget session of Andhra Pradesh legislative is likely to commence its maiden proceedings in the new capital, Amaravati in the first week of March. Speaker Dr.Kodela Siva Prasada Rao said that the legislature complex in the new capital is ready in all respects barring a few finishing touches which would be completed in a few days. The legislative staff have been asked to shift to Amaravati between February 22 and 25.
