Amaravati:: Five police officers get promotion and transfer:: The State government on Friday has promoted and transferred five police officers.
Greyhounds Commander Ch.Venkateswaraulu has been promoted and posted as DIG.
APSP Commandant (waiting) K.Surya Chand has been posted and transferred to APSP 6th Bn. Kakinada as DIG
APSP 2nd Bn. Kurnool commandant G.Vijaya Kumar has been promoted as DIG and retained there.
APSP 11th Bn. Assistant Commandant D.Nageswarappa has been posted as Intelligence Additional SP (Addl.Commandant).
Intelligence DSP (Asst.Commandant) Ch.Bhadraiah has been posted as Intelligence Addl.SP.
Chinturu (EG):: Maoists obstruct road transport:: Maoists allegedly cut down trees on a three-km stretch between Pega and Yedugururallapalli villages in Chinturu mandal of East Godavari district on Thursday night. The road transport between Bhadrachalam and Rajamahendravaram were cut off. Sources said that Maoists allegedly planned a landmine on this route. The police did not reach this spot till Friday evening as a precautionary measure. However, Maoists did not leave any pamphlet or poster near the spot.
Vijayawada:: Japanese team meets CRDA chief:: A high-level delegation of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and Japan International Cooperation Agency met CRDA Commissioner Ch.Sreedhar on Friday here.
