Amaravati:: Rs.28 crore released for 11 Municipalities elections:: The Principal Secretary for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Karikala Valavan has on Monday released orders sanction Rs.28 lakh for 11 municipalities. These funds are meant for EVMs, employees TA and DA and stationery purchase.
Amaravati:: No permission for Mudragada Deeksha’, says Chinarajappa:: Deputy Chief Minsiter Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that the proposed deeksha by Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham to be taken up on February 26 at Kurnool has no permission. He said that any dharnas, padayatras or nirahara deekshas in the State should invariably take permission from the police department. He inaugurated Director General of Prisons office in Vijayawada on Monday.
SKU (Anantapur):: LAWCET notification issued:: The AP LAWCET-2017 notification for admission into 3 year/5 year LLB and 2 year LLM courses has been issued. Interested candidates can apply online through the website www.sche.ap.gov.in from February 18 to March 18. The fee for LLB entrance test is fixed at Rs.700 and Rs.800 for LLM test. Hall tickets can be downloaded from April 14 and the written test will be held on April 19. The test will be computer based one.
Koritepadu (Guntur):: Vaddera Samkshema Sangham demands inclusion of Vaddera caste in SC list:: Vaddera Samkshema Sangham State president Tanneru Anajaneyulu has demanded the inclusion of Vaddera caste into the list of SCs. Speaking to media at a hotel in Brodipet, he wanted to give importance in the coming MLC elections. State general secretary Chandragiri Edukondalu demanded allocation of Rs.500 crore for Vaddera Federation.
Kurnool:: Proddutur YSRCP MLA arrested- Jala deeksha foiled:: YSRCP MLA from Proddutur Rachamallu Prasad Reddy who launched a 24 hour ‘Jala deeksha’ protest resenting the laxity of officials to mitigate the drinking water scarcity in Proddutur town in Kadapa district was arrested by a posse of policemen on Monday. The MLA demanded issue of GO to release one tmcft of water from the Mylavaram reservoir to Penna river, drawal of flood water by laying a pipeline from the Rameswaram head water works near Chennammarajupalle, finalization of tenders and commencement of work of the Kundu-Penna flood-flow canal and supply of drinking water by tankers to all the 40 municipal wards in Proddutur town.
Nagarampalem (Guntur):: Anganwadi centres will be converted in to pre-elementary schools:: Minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana said that the government is converting the Anganwadi centres in Municipalities as pre-elementary schools with a view to extend corporate education to the poor people. He said that three Anganwadi centres in Nellore were clubbed and started training for nursery for 3-4 year children for LKG and 4-5 year old children for UKG.
Rajamahendravaram:: Malas plan ‘garjana’ against categorization:: The Mala Sanghala JAC will organize ‘Malala rana garjana’ against the move to categorize SCs. MSJAC coordinator Mallela Venkata Rao along with others addressing media on Monday said that the Garjana would be held at Bible Mission Grounds. Malas from all 13 districts would attend the programme.
Vijayawada::Ashok Babu heads APNGO Association::P.Ashok Babu and N.Chandra Sekhara Reddy were re-elected unanimously as president and general secretary of AP NGO Association. This was announced by the election officers on Monday. Addressing the media after taking charge, Ashok Babu said the employees shifted to Amaravati though there were no proper facilities and they were at the same time conscious of the constraints faced by the government in conceding their demands.
Hyderabad:: Vishnuvardhan Reddy appointed as Hyderabad Regional Passport Officer:: Emmadi Vishnuvardhan Reddy has been appointed as Hyderabad Regional Passport Officer. Aswani Sattar who is currently the Regional Passport Officer has been transferred to Delhi. Vishnuvardhan Reddy is likely to take charge in a day or two according to sources. He is 2008 batch of IFS officer currently working in Under Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs. He worked as Secretary for Human Rights in Geneva World Trade Organization . He hails from Warangal district.
