  • Vijayawada:: Officials gearing up for Dasara festivals:: The Endowments Department and the police are making fool proof arrangements for the nine day Dasara Festivals to be celebrated atop Indrakeeladri from October 10 to 18. As many as 15 lakh devotees are expected to have darshan of the deity during the celebrations according to Police Commissioner Ch.Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam EO V.Koteswaramma.
  • Visakhapatnam:: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and CM Chandrababu to pay homage:: Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu will pay homage to M.V.V.S.Murty at his house here on Sunday. It may be recalled that Murty along with three others died in a car accident in the US on Tuesday.
  • Vijayawada:: CRDA distributes spectacles free of cost:: Officials of the CRDA distributed spectacles and eye drops free of cost to 126 persons who underwent cataract surgery at Thullur on Saturday. The surgeries were conducted during the mega health camp on August 30.
  • Vizianagaram:: Facor employees submit memorandum to Jagan:: Employees of FACOR at Garividi today submitted a representation. They said that the TDP government had enhanced the power tariff causing heavy financial burden on the industries in the district. Jagan resumed his Praja Sankalpa Yatra in Cheepuruplli constituency of the district. Employees of Saakshar Bhart submitted a representation to Jagan explaining their grievances.
