  • Anantapur:: Three infants die at Hindupur Government hospital:: Three infants, all female died at the Hindupur Government Hospital on Wednesday due to septicemia and anemia. DMHO KVSN Anil Kumar said that While Kavita (11days) and Sravni (2months) died of septicemia and pneumonia. Sukanya (3months) died of malnutrition and pneumonia.
  • Kurnool:: Swine flu – death tool mounts to ten with three more deaths:: Three persons succumbed to swine flu in the district in the past couple of days taking the death toll to ten. Srinivasulu and Ananta Bhagyalakshmi from Adoni and Peapully mandals died on Wednesday. Rajesh (27) from Shareen Nagar died on Tuesday.
  • Srikakulam:: Rotarian gets into record book:: Social activist and Rotarian Mantri Venkata Swamy of the district found a place in England based Platinum Book of World Records in recognition of his services to the poor and creating awareness on AIDS in the remote areas for the last 42 years. MP K.Rammohan Naidu and Rotary Club president C.V.Rajulu congratulated him on his achievement.

  • Srikakulam:: MP urges CMM to declare it as national calamity:: TDP MP K.Rammohan Naidu today urged people to step up pressure on the Centre to declare the Titli cyclone as a national calamity. He alleged that Narendra Modi government had not responded to the pleas of the State though over 8 lakh people had been affected by the cyclone. He had written a letter to the PMO seeking immediate justice.
