Visakhapatnam:: BJP plans dharns on AgriGold issue:: The BJP leaders has planned to stage dharnas in support of AgriGold victims from October 23 to 26, said city president M.Nagendra. The dharna will be organized on the first day at the GVMC, at Madhurawada the next day, at NAD Kotha Road on October 25 and at Gajuwaka on October 26. On October 27, a dharna and meeting covering the three North Coastal districts will be organized opposite the Government Women’s College with the participation of the party State president Kanna Lakshminarayana.
Visakhapatnam:: Teachers’ unions demand to fill all vacant posts at one go:: Teachers’ unions say that notification is likely to be issued to fill only 40% of the estimated total vacancies of 23,000, though the exact number is yet to be known. Though the exact number is clearly not known, the government now proposed to recruit for 3,175 posts for residential schools and only 6,100 in the other categories. The last DSC was held in 2014, the aim should be to fill all the vacancies to strengthen the school education and provide jobs to a large number of unemployed, said State Teachers Union district general secretary Paidiraju.
