'Visakhapatnam:: GST staff stage demonstration to press for demands:: Around 100 Ministerial staff of GST, Visakhapatnam Zone held a lunch hour demonstration in front of the GST Bhavan today accusing the Central Board for Indirect Taxes and Customs of treating the Ministerial officers with step-motherly attitude. They demanded that the vacant posts in the Ministerial cadres be filled up and the cadre restructuring be finalized only after takin the Ministerial Federation and Associations into confidence.
Visakhapatnam:: 145 sanitation workers held for obstructing garbage vehicles:: Minor tension prevailed as 145 sanitation workers were taken into custody when the agitating outsourced workers led by the leaders of CITU tried to obstruct the vehicles being taken out to transport garbage form the Sewage Farm at Appu Ghar today morning. They were on the strike that entered the eighth day today. They were taken to Police Barracks.
Tirumla:: Man held with fake seva tickets:: TTD Vigilance officials took one Govind Reddy of Hyderabad into cutody for possessing fke Suprabhatam tickets. The incident cme to light when the staff at the Vaikuntam queue complex found that details on the tickets did not match with those of the Aadhar card. On questioning, he confessed to have purchased them form Muni Kumar of Tirupati for Rs.3,000 each.
Ongole:: Chief Minister to present awards to students:: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will present the Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Prathibha Awards-2018 to meritorious students on October 15.
