VISAKHAPATNAM:: Arrangements are in place for Margasiramasam festival:: Arrangements are in place for the annual ‘Margasira Utsavm’ of Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple from December 8 to January 5 according to Executive Officer, E.Jyoti Madhavi. She said that VIP darshan would be allowed from 7am to 9am and 3pm to 5pm.

VISAKHAPATNAM:: Pinnacle 2018 concludes:: The two day national management meet ‘Pinnacle 2018’ at Integral Institute of Advanced Management concluded with 20 college taking part it. Nearly 500 students participated in various competitions.

VISAKHAPATNAM:: Tributes paid to Dr.BR Ambedkar:: Rich tributes were paid to Dr.B.R.Ambedkar on the occasion of 62nd death anniversary today. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao garlanded the statue of Dr.Ambedkar near LIC building and described him as an educationist, reformer and an eminent lawyer and statesman. TDP MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar and GITAM president Sri Bharat were also present. Tribal Welfare Minister Kidari Sravan Kumar garlanded the statue at Andhra University campus.

VIJAYAWADA:: Aadhaar services at post offices:: The State Chief Postmaster General K.Balasubramanian has said Aadhaar enrollment centres are functioning at all head post offices and 519 sub-post offices. In a release, he said that new enrollments would be done free of cost and a fee of Rs.30 should be paid to update details. He said that so far, 4,511 people had enrolled themselves and 62,852 updated their details at various post offices. He said that passport services were available at the head post offices in Kurnool, Kadapa, Nellore, Anantapur, Chittoor, Rajamahendravram, Kakinada, Srikakulam, Gudivada, Guntur Ongole and Amalapuram.

VISAKHAPATNAM:: Aid extended under ‘Aadarana Two’:: At the Adarana Two mega grounding mela at NTR Market Yard at Anakapalle, benefits worth Rs.17.81 crore under SC,BC,Kapu and Minority corporations were given to 1,068 members today. Benefits worth Rs.82.55 lakh were given to 3,572 persons in different category under the same scheme. The scheme is being implemented with Rs.1,200 crore all over the State.

VISAKHAPATNAM:: Babri-Left parties take out rally:: CPI and CPI(M) today organized a rally from Ambedkar Bhavan to Gandhi statue near GVMC demanding safeguarding of secular values and marking the demolition of Babri Masjid 26 years ago. The leaders said attacks on Dalits and minorities were on the rise during the last four and a half years of the NDA tenure.
