HYDERABAD: Court serves summons to director Rajamouli:: Nampally court here today issued summons to the famous director S.S.Rajamouli to appear personally in a cheating case as he failed to attend the court in earlier occasions. A director Bhuvaneswar has filed a case stating that he in 2012, he promised to sell his flat at Photographers’ colony in MLA quarters and sold to another one.

Hindupur MLA Balakrishna seeks Centre’s help for NH proposal:: Hindupur MLA Nanadamuri Balakrishna met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in Delhi and urged him to approve national highway proposal between Somandepalli and Yelahanka. He was accompanied by Kambhampati Rama Mohana Rao and Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara Rao. He also met the Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitaraman and invited her to the Lepakshi Utsava to be held on February 27 and 28.

MEDAK: Court superintendent in ACB net:: The ACB officials have today nabbed a court superintendent Ramana Reddy on the premises of the court while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000 from a complainant. Sources said that he demanded the bribe to issue summons in a case related to 2009.

ONGOLE: ACB traps VRO Ramadevi:: The ACB officials today arrested Pulipadu of Mundlamooru mandal of Prakasam District Ramadevi for demanding accepting Rs.6,000 bribe from a farmer redhandedly.

RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: Gantasala Aradhana Utsavalu from February 13:: The AP Department of Language and Culture is going to facilitate the conduct of the two day ‘Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Aradhana Utsavalu’ here from February 13 at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram. MP Muralimohan and MLA G.Butchaiah Chowdary said that Kinnera Art Theatres, Hyderabad would organise the programmes. Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu would be the chief guest.

VIJAYAWADA: ACB raids on Transport office: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials have today conducted raids on the office of the Road Transport Authority office here today and have taken seven brokers and an Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector MVSS.Naidu. They seized Rs.2.15 lakh from the brokers who collected bribes for the RTA officials for issuing of driving licences and others according to ACB DSP Gopala Krishna.

Privatization of milk centres opposed:: The AIDWA has opposed the government’s move to privatise milk centres located in the State. AIDA secretary D.Ramadevi on Thursday said tat there were reports that the government planned to handover the milk centres to corporate bodies.

YSRCP MLA Pratap Apparao condemns of his joining in TDP:: Nuzvid MLA Pratap Appa Rao condemned the news of his joining in TDP. He said the ruling TDP is creating rumors that he was joining TDP and added that he would continue in YSRCP. He further said that he had no intention of leaving the party.

‘No intention to join TDP’, says Jaleel Khan:: Vijayawada (West) MLA of YSRCP Jaleel Khan said that he had no intention to join TDP. He said that he met the Chief Minister only to bring his notice of the development works relating to his constituency. His meeting with Chandrababu Naidu along with the Minister for Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao created rumours that the YSRCP MLA is switching over to TDP. He reiterated that he would continue in YSRCP.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Decision on GVMC polls by month end:: The government is likely to take a decision on GVMC elections by the month end by exploring a resolution to the court cases against the merger of some villages between the city and Bheemunipatnam. Minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana would discusses how to sort out the issues raised by five villages – K.Nagarampalekm, Kopulupada, Chepalupapada, Nidigattu and J.V.Agraharam. The Government is keen on resolving the issues of the villages and completing the merger of the five villages and Bheemunipatnam with the GVMC and conduct elections.

Anakapalle MP writes to Railway Minister on developmental works:: Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao wrote to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in New Delhi recently and brought to his notice of various development works on the railway front which were pending in his constituency. The issues raised included establishment of the new railway zone with headquarters in Visakhapatnam, laying of a new railway line from Tuni to Kottavalasa junction via Narsipatnam, Chodavaram and Madugula, providing halts to Howrah-Yesvantapur and Nanded Express at Anakapalli and halts to Janmabhoomi Express and Ratnachal at Elamanchili are among others.

Union Minister to launch works on IT tower:: Union Minister for Communications and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad will visit the city on February 18 to launch work on an IT tower at Siripuram and Centre for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister for Urban Development M.Venkaiah Naidu will participate in both ceremonies.
