All the petitions of 15 All India Service Officers – IAS and IPS who challenged their State cadre allocation post-bifurcation in the Central Administrative Tribunal have been allowed their choice of State.
According to sources, IAS officers Vakati Aruna, Vani Prasad, Mallela Prashanti who were allotted to Andhra Pradesh cadre but went to the tribunal challenging it also got relief and their pleas were upheld. The officers have been serving in Telangana State based on interim orders awaiting final orders. Rawat and Ananta Ramulu who were allotted to Andhra Pradesh but sought Telangana cadre and filed their petitions in the CAT also got a favorable order from the judge. Officers Harikiran, Siva Sankar Lahoti and G.Srijana sought Andhra Pradesh cadre in their petitions though they were allotted to Telangana have been serving in Andhra Pradesh on the basis of interim orders till now. IPS officers Anjani Kumar who had been allotted to Andhra Pradesh but filed a petition in the tribunal and got an interim order to continue in Telangana also got a favorable final order. Another IPS officer Ranganath was allotted to Telangana while he opted to Andhra Pradesh and his pela was also allowed by CAT.
