Akhila Priya launches ‘Aseervada Yatra’

Minister for Tourism Bhuma Akhila Priya today launched the ‘Aseervada Yatra’ in the sixth ward of Nandyal town, an election campaign to seek the blessings of the people for the victory of her brother Brahmananda Reddy.

She lambasted YSRCP candidate for Nandyal by-election Silpa Mohan Reddy who questioned the propriety of TDP candidate Brahmananda Reddy who was not a family member of Bhuma Nagi Reddy. Speaking to media, she said that Brahmananda Reddy was her paternal uncle Bhuma Veerasekhar Reddy’s son. ‘He is our family member as ours is a joint family’, she said. Akhila Priya urged the people to vote for the bicycle symbol and elect her brother.

She reminded the promise of Silpa Mohan Reddy who defected to YSRCP from TDP said that before the last general elections that he would quit politics if he failed to win.

Meanwhile, Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy said his party would field a candidate in the Nandyal by-election that was necessitated following the death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy. He termed the election as a fight between money power and self-respect of Rayalaseema. He accused both Chandrababu and Jagan of paying a scant interest in developing Rayalaseema.
