Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan today urged the government not to encourage individuals from colleges without Indian Council for Agricultural Research accreditation into the Agricultural Department.
Students representatives from 11 agricultural colleges in the State met Pawan Kalyan today. He was told that they had been protesting against G.O.No.64 issued by the government for the past 25 days as it would negatively impact the prospects of 3,000 students in the State. He responded to the issue and tweeted his appeal to the government. ‘We have achieved Green Revolution by the efforts of those experts and scientists of Indian Council for Agricultural Research. Allowing fake degree holders into the Agriculture department will ruin our farmers and economy. This is a serious matter. I hope the AP government understands the future implications of GO 64’, he said in a series of tweets.
It may be recalled that the students wanted the government to continue G.O.No.16 which had been issued by TDP government before bifurcation and is still being implemented in Telangana State.
