DGP N.Sambasiva Rao has appealed the AgriGold victims to get their documents verified by the police at the counters to be set up across the State.
Speaking to press, he said that counters would be arranged in all districts on October 12. He said out of 19 lakh depositors in the State, only 9.9 lakh victims registered online in the website http://www.protectionofapdepositors.com.
The DGP said that physical verification of documents will be done at mandal level in all districts. High Court has asked the CID which is probing the multi-crore scam to submit details of the depositors in different slabs ie., the depositors who invested up to rs.5,000, Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000, Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 and above. Depositors who have uploaded the details are requested to long in the same website again and note down the schedule which was mentioned in the website. After submitting the name or mobile number of the depositor, the place where he or she has to go for verification and date will be displayed.
Those who have not uploaded details in the website are requested to register their details at the respective mandal headquarters by submitting the original bond, original receipts, Aadhaar card and bank pass book, he said.
