AgriGold customers and Agents Welfare Association reminds government of deadline

AgriGold customers and Agents Welfare Association president N.Nageswara Rao today said that 112 deaths were registered as suicides, heart attacks and owing to depression in the multi-crore scam in the State.

The Association president said there was likelihood of another 25 victims and the association wa trying to check the veracity of the claim. The State government gave four months’ time to pay the compensation to the victims and the deadline will expire on July 23, he said. The government had put up 12 assets worth Rs.80 crore for auction under the court directions. He said that the association was conducting meetings at the real estate ventures with an aim to identify the genuine buyers. ‘If the auction is initiated, these people will suffer. We are making efforts to exempt these people’, he said.

The meeting of customers and agents was being held in all districts in the State and neighbouring States. A meeting will be held in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, he said. The association leaders would meet the AP Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Kutumba Rao and ADGP Ch.Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and seek the appointment of the Cabinet Minister either on June 28 or on 29, he said.
