Age limit for government jobs enhanced from 34 years to 42 years

The Andhra Pradesh State government today on Saturday issued orders a GO No. 396 amending the ad-hoc rule contained in G.O.Ms.No.295 dated September 23, 2014 under which the age limit was raised to 40 enhancing the maximum age limit for governmental jobs to 42..

The existing maximum age for government jobs has been increased from the existing 34 years to 42 years. With this orders , unemployed in the State can apply for all jobs that are being filled by APPSC and other organization.

However, this enhancement of age limit is only applicable for the jobs announced up to September 30, 2017.

Not applicable to uniform services:: The G.O however will not be applicable to uniform services like Police, Excise, Fire, Forest, Jails departments said Chief Secretary Satya Prasad Tucker.

Group II posts increased to 934:: With the carryforward of the unfilled posts of 184, the total number of posts have been increased to 934. A notification will be issued in three or four days according to sources. APPSC plans to issue notification for Group III for filling up of 1,000 Panchayat Raj secretary posts. The notification will likely be issued by the end of the month.
