Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department today on December 3, 2016 has issued notification for AP Divya Darshanam scheme to arrange free darshan to selected pilgrims of the rural and village poor people.
Under the scheme, a maximum of five persons in a family can have free tour to famous temples in the State right from Arasavilli to Tirumala. People can take children below the age of three years additionally. The selection process for the registered persons in this scheme is based on lottery.
Eligibility:: 90 % selected from Socially backward people from Hindu of SC, ST and BC communities. Those in upper communities having white ration card and below the age of 70 years are eligible to have Divya Darshan free pilgrimage. The age limit is 18 years to 70 years healthy persons. A maximum of five persons can avail per family. The expenditure on the free pilgrimage will be borne by the TTD along with seven major temples income. The Endowments are planning to cover insurance coverage to the pilgrims said sources.
