The Andhra Pradesh Specialty Hospitals Association (ASHA) has announced its decision to withdraw its services from the Employees Health Scheme of the Government of Andhra Pradesh with effect from January 15.
ASHA president V.Murali Krishna said that it has sent letters to this effect to the CEO of NTR Vaidyaseva Trust, the Principal Secretary of Health and Health Minister expressing their inability to continue their services. He cited the reason of not resolving the issues regarding costing despite promises made by the Chief Minister. After the final meeting with the government on December 13, the association received minutes of the meeting which was not in line with the discussions held and many terms and conditions which were earlier accepted were not mentioned.
