APSRTC to introduce flexi-fare system on the buses plying to Bangalore

Sunday, April 17, 2016

The Andhra Pradesh State Transport Corporation Guntur region is introducing a flexi-fare system for Garuda Plus bus service from Monday for the buses plying from Guntur to Bengaluru.

APSRTC Region Manager said that under the new system, the officials will slash or increase the fare between the APSRTC and KSRTC bus fares as most of the passengers are preferring the KSRTC buses as they are charging less fare compared to APSRTC. He said that APSRTC is charging Rs.1,299 per head but the KSRTC is charging Rs.1,100 per head. So, the commuters are preferring KSRTC.

The Regional Manager said that after observing the situation, the Guntur region officials have informed the Managing Director N.Sambasiva Ro about the variation in fares and sought his permission for introduction of flexi-fare system so as to take a decision on Bengaluru bus service.
