ACB unearths assets worth over Rs.50 crore from ICDS senior assistant KV Narayana Reddy

The ACB officials today arrested K.V.Narayana Reddy, an employee of Integrated Child Development Services department and seized assets estimated at over Rs.50 crore.

The accused was working as a Senior Assistant in the nutrition supply section of the ICDS at Kadiri (west). The officials launched simultaneous raids at eight different locations in Anantapur and Chittoor districts.

DSP ACB Jayaramaraju said that the searches unearthed disproportionate assets worth several crores estimated to be over Rs.50 crore and the estimates of which were yet to be completed. Documents pertaining to one single storeyed building besides a double-storeyed building in the name of the accused official and two single storeyed buildings and a double storeyed building besides five plots in and around Anantapur in the name of the accused official’s wife were seized. They also seized four agricultural plots measuring several acres each were identified in Anantapur urban, rural and Pamidi mandals, while mortgage deeds were found for a house plot and house site in Aantapur. Documents pertaining to a single storeyed building, a house site in Anantapur and agricultural land in Golakuru village in the name of the accused son were also found.

A single storeyed building and a house in Kakkalapalli village on the outskrits of Anantapur in the name of accused’s daughter-in-law were seized. The others included one kg gold, 1.5kg silver and Rs.2.32 lakh of cash were also seized.

The accused has been arrested while the case is under investigation.
