A criminal case has been registered against the government Examinations Director M.R.Prasanna Kumar in regularizing the illegal admissions in D.Ed colleges last year.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials have also registered a case against Rafi, Rama Rao and Satyanarayana brokers in the case. A college owner Rafi who acted as a broker collected the amounts to the tune of Rs.9.65 lakh from college managements along with another two persons Rama Rao and Satyanarayana and handed over the amounts to the Director of Examinations Prasanna Kumar.
It may be recalled that the left over seats during the academic year 2015-16 were filled up by the D.Ed colleges under convenor and management quota seats to those who even did not write the entrance examination. The Director of Examinations has to submit a report over their admission process and in this course has collected money from the concerned managements and his telephonic conversation was recorded by the investigating agency. The ACB registered cases against Prasanna Kumar along with the three brokers based on their confession report.
