ACB raids on the residences of Assistant Excise Commissioner unearths assets over Rs.70 crore

The Central Investigation unit of Anti-Corruption Bureau today conducted simultaneous searches on the residences of an Assistant Excise Commissioner at West Godavari, Vijayawada and Guntur and unearthed asserts worth over Rs.70 crore.

M.Adi Seshu, working at the AP Beverages Corporation Ltd., has found possessing disproportionate assets worth over Rs.3 crore as per the government rate but the same is estimated to be around Rs.70 crore.

The ACB officials found documents of 17 plots including three in West Godavari, three in Guntur and two in East Godavari and others apart from a house in Vijayawada. The plots are either located at prime locations of the towns or at the bypass roads where demand for plots is always high. The accused also possessed 540 grams of gold, 230 grams of silver ornaments, Rs.28 lakh deposited in various banks, Rs.5.5 lakh fixed deposits and Rs.2.8 lakh in cash at home.
