Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Centre is going to establish 48,000 Business Process Outsourcing units all over the country in the next two years.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he explained the initiatives taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last two years. He said that over 10 lakh new jobs would be created in the information Technology sector in the next two years. The IT export had crossed Rs.8 lakh crore.
Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the BSNL was planning to set up 180 cellular towers in the Maoist affected areas so that the Police department could develop its network and keep a tab on the movements of the extremists. On unearthing black money, he said that the efforts are on to declare unaccounted money to the tune of Rs.8,000 crore son.
