47,000 seats unfilled in Engineering and Pharmacy courses

The allotment of seats in various colleges for engineering and pharmacy courses based on AP Eamcet-2016 third phase completed on Monday resulting in over 47,735 seats unfilled.

As many as 78,346 candidates were qualified in the Eamcet-2016 and 31,369 in the first phase and 11,202 candidates in the second phase has registered options. Out of 1,13,803 seats in convenor quota, 68,188 seats were filled up in the first two phases and 64,134 have reported to their allotted colleges. In the third phase1,959 candidates have registered their options and 4,990 students have changed options who were allotted seats earlier. With the completion of the third phase, 66,093 seats were allotted leaving 47,735 unfilled.
