12,000 government quarters to come up in Amaravati

The AP CRDA and the Housing department have finalized plans for construction of 12,000 quarters to accommodate judges, Ministers and staff and the officers of the AP Secretariat shifting to Amaravati.

Judges and senior judicial and IAS officers will be provided with four bedroom-hall-cum-kitchen and three bedroom-hall-cum-kitchen with a plinth area of 3,500 square feet each.

The members of the State Legislative Council and Assembly, Heads of the Departments, gazetted and non-gazetted officers and junior employees will be put up in G+9 apartments with the area of flats ranging from 3,500 square feet to 800 square feet.

MLCs and MLAs will get 3,500 square feet flats while junior officers of All India Services and HoDs will be allotted 3,000 sft flats. The area of flats meant for gazetted officers will be 1,800 sft and non-gazetted officers 1,200 sft while other employees with 800 square feet flats.
