Every household in the State will get 10 mbps Internet connectivity at a rate of Rs.150 per month that was fixed by the Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (INCAP).
According to official sources said that the work on laying optical fiber cable is already in progress in seven districts of the State and will be ready by July. The project is being executed by Tera Software and it is worth around Rs.320 crore. The cabling is done using existing electric poles and it is purely a State’s project. The minimum speed is 10 mbps and the charge has been fixed at Rs.150pm. If the speed is increased, the rate will go up. Data connection will be given to all villages, towns and cities including Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
