  • Court directs to complete investigation by September 29, 2016
  • Mangalagiri MLA Aalla Ramakrishna Reddy files petition
  • Advocate placed the forensic lab report.

The ‘Vote for Note’ case that created tremors in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State has come up again with the ACB court directing to reinvestigate the issue.

The Court directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau to complete the investigation by September 29 and place the report before the court.

These directions came following a petition filed by Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy who placed the forensic lab report on the voice of the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu before the court and appealed the court to direct the concerned authorities to reinvestigate the case.

Leading advocate Ponnavolu Sudhakara Reddy appearing on behalf of Ramakrishna Reddy (RK) put forth the arguments. The court agreeing with the arguments place before it by the petitioner’s advocate gave directions to the ACB to reinvestigate the case. The petitioner’s advocate informed the court that the investigation was not done in a proper way and urged the court to give directions for re-investigating the case based on the forensic lab report.

It may be recalled here that the voice in the tapes (the conversation between Chandrababu Naidu and Stephenson) submitted by ACB to the forensic lab confirmed that the voice was not tampered and the original one making that the voice was as of Chandrababu Naidu.
