Telugu Desam Party official spokesman Jupudi Prabhakar said on Saturday that TDP will be forced to take hard decisions over the delay in fulfilling promises made to the State including Special Category Status and Special Development Package.
‘As an ally of the BJP, the TDP is patiently pursuing with the Centre the Special Category Status and other promises to Navya Andhra. Though not happy with the BJP’s approach, we have not lost hope. If elasticity is broken, we will not hesitate to fight against BJP to seek what is due to the State, he said at a press conference.
Jupudi predicted that another 15 more YSRCP MLAs including three from Prakasam district were waiting for cross over to TDP before the next Assembly elections. He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had not only lost the confidence of the 16 YSRCP MLAs who had reposed faith in Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu now but also that of the people, he said. Jupudi added that ‘if by-elections are held now, even Jagan Mohan Reddy will not be able to retain his set while other YSRCP MLAs will have to forfeit deposit, he claimed.
