‘Jagan’s decision is bold’ says Ramachandraiah

Wednesday, February 14, 2018

Former Minister C.Ramachandraiah today flayed Chandrababu Naidu for not convening an all-party meeting to solicit the support of the opposition parties for mounting pressure on the Centre for fulfillment of the promises made.

Speaking to media at Kadapa, he welcomed YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s decision to direct his party MPs to tender their resignation on the Special Category Status and termed it as a bold one. He said that the Congress would support to Jagan after his party MPs resign.

The former Minister said that the claims of Chandrababu that he was successful in securing more Central funds than any other State were proved to be false. He asked the Chief Minister to specify the benefits accrued by settling down for a special package without insisting on the SCS. The Congress has collected the signatures of one crore people on the SCS issue, he recalled.

Two resolutions passed by the AP Legislative Assembly accrued no benefit but Chandrababu mortgaged the State’s interests and unable to exert pressure on the Centre beyond a point in view of the cases filed against him, he said.
