Lathi charge again at various places in Hyderabad. State level bandh by Congress, CPI, CPI(M), MCPI and other political parties ended up peacefully at various parts of the state. APSTRC canceled its Bus services for almost all destinations. State wide Bandh by Congress and CPI. Condition peaceful at various places in the state. Business Establishements & Banks closed.

CM Mr. Chandrababu Naidu says Congress joined hands with Naxals and created havoc in the city yesterday in Assembly.

Primliminary estimates says Loss due to Rains in Andhra Pradesh excluding Hyderabad put at 700 Crores. Chief Minister Sri. Chandra Babu Naidu says Restoration of Roads, Bridges and Culverts as the primary task. Illegal occupation of lands in Hyderbad is the reason for the rain water clogging in Hyderabad. Minister Sri. K Vijaya Rama Rao says his department has been working on to restore bridges and culverts.

Central Team headed by Mr. Nitesh Kumar visits Hyderbad and leaves for Areal survey by helicopter. His team was accompanied with senior ministers of state government including State Finance Minister Sri. Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Government asks for Rs. 325 as immediate grant. Orissa Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnayak says he'll extend help and support in a special letter to Chief Minister.

Aug 25, 2000 Heavy Rains and Floods still continues in Andhra Pradesh. Serious Loss of life and property at Nalgonda, Guntur, Kurnool and Hyderabad Districts. Official death toll reaches 110 while 29 found missing. Govt. takes help of the Army and Airforce to deliver food packerts and other essentials. CM orders Electricity Dept. to bring back Electricity to normal stage at the earliest. Congress & BJP MLA's visits their respective Constituencies to check up the position of rain disaster. BJP unhappy with the Food packets being delivered by Govt. Helicopters.

P.M promises for help. Central Team headed by Central Minister for Agriculture Mr. Nitesh Kumar leaves for Andhra Pradesh. Rs. 50,000 granted for each rain effected family. Central Govt. to release Rs. 300 crores as immediate help.
